Redpath South Africa is offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring Millwrights with an upskilling internship at their head office in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance while gaining hands-on experience with specialized TMM (Trackless Mobile Machinery) equipment.
Minimum Requirements for the Internship:
- Matric certificate.
- N2/N3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical studies.
- Millwright Trade Certification with Section 13 or 26D.
- Valid South African driver’s license.
- No criminal record.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Preferred candidates are those residing in or near the Ekurhuleni Municipality, Gauteng.
- Ability to pass Sandvik Artisan assessment.
- Must meet Mine Medical fitness standards and be capable of working underground.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Participate in both theoretical and practical training focused on selected TMM equipment.
- Submit quarterly progress reports detailing workplace learning and development.
- Adhere to the Mine Health and Safety Act requirements while working.
- Perform various administrative duties as assigned.
- Be prepared to work rotational shifts if necessary.
