SACAA bursaries will be awarded for studies in the following fields:
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Pilot Training
Eligibility Criteria for the SACAA Bursary
Before applying, ensure you meet the following minimum requirements. Failing to meet these criteria may result in disqualification:
- You must be a South African citizen.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- You must be studying or planning to study towards a qualification in one of the listed fields.
Additional requirements per study field:
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering: Minimum of level 5 for English, Pure Mathematics, and Physical Science, OR NCV level 4 in Engineering studies.
- Pilot Training: Minimum of level 5 for English, Pure Mathematics, and Physical Science.
- Aeronautical Engineering: Minimum of level 5 for English, and level 6 for Pure Mathematics and Physical Science.

Required Documents (submission of these is compulsory):
- Certified copy of your ID document.
- Certified copy of your latest Matric results (if currently in Matric).
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate (if completed Matric).
- Latest academic results on the institution’s letterhead (if currently studying) or Coaching Report for post-school training.
- Parent or guardian’s proof of income (latest payslips if employed/ affidavit if unemployed).
- Proof of any other financial assistance received.
- Motivational letter supporting your application.
