The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) is looking for a Driver to join its Non-Communicable Diseases Research Unit (NCDRU). This permanent position is based in Cape Town and is a great opportunity for someone with experience in community-based and clinical research fieldwork.
The selected driver will be responsible for transporting research participants, fieldworkers, and biological specimens, as well as assisting with various administrative duties related to NCDRU studies. The NCDRU focuses on improving the detection, prevention, and management of non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular and metabolic disorders in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting research participants and biological specimens.
- Managing and reporting on the NCDRU fleet.
- Assisting with project administration and computerized systems.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- At least 2 years of driving experience and a Code 8 driver’s license with PDP.
- Experience working on research projects as a driver or fieldworker.
Salary:
R226,589.00 per annum (cost-to-company).
